Treatment for SUD and Co-Occurring Disorders

Here at Gaudenzia, we recognize that substance use disorders (SUD) frequently co-occur with other mental health disorders. It is not uncommon for individuals seeking SUD treatment to have other diagnoses ranging from anxiety and mood disorders to attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and others.

Consistent with best practices, Gaudenzia’s continuum of co-occurring capable programs deliver integrated treatment services that address SUDs and mental health disorders at the same time. While most of Gaudenzia’s programs are designed to meet the needs of individuals with stable and/or mild co-occurring mental health conditions, several of our programs are specially licensed to support individuals presenting with more serious and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI).

Our Services

Gaudenzia’s treatment model is evidence-based, person-centered, and designed to provide trauma-informed, gender-responsive and culturally responsive care. The model integrates two of the field’s most validated behavioral therapies for treating co-occurring disorders: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational enhancement therapy (MET).

Our treatment services for individuals with SUD and co-occurring disorders (CODs) include:
