Testimony Before PA House Allocations Committee (7:55 mins, produced in 2005)
PA State Representative Gene DiGirolamo (R-18th District) provides a very moving testimony to the PA House Committee on Allocations in February 2005. The State Budget was in final stages of negotiation, and funding for drug and alcohol treatment was at risk. Rep. DiGirolamo presented a very compelling case in favor of preserving funding levels for drug and alcohol treatment.

Continuing the Tradition (approximately 10 mins, produced in 2002)
This video targets clients who are receiving drug and alcohol addiction treatment within Gaudenzia’s extensive network of programs. Gaudenzia President and Executive Director Michael Harle recounts the agency’s founding and naming in 1968. The video was produced to orientate clients to the philosophy supporting Gaudenzia’s approach to drug and alcohol treatment, as well as introduce the concept of the annual Gaudenzia Ball.

Women of Substance (approx. 10 mins, produced in 1992)
This video was produced by Rory Kennedy in partnership with the Infant Mortality Commission Legal Action Center. Kennedy exposes the alarming gap in drug and alcohol treatment service provision for women addicts who have young children. In the course of the video, Gaudenzia’s Vantage House, established in 1979 in Lancaster, PA is identified as a model residential service provider to help meet this need. At Vantage, women may bring two children under the ages of 12 into residential treatment to overcome their drug and alcohol addiction and to break the cycle of addiction from the next generation.

Gaudenzia…. A New Beginning (approximately 25 mins; produced in 1991)
This video was produced by Gaudenzia’s Central Region Board of Advisers to showcase the continuum of care provided by Gaudenzia programs in Central Pennsylvania. Program graduates offer personal insights and illustrate their experiences along the road to their recovery.
