Dr. Rosemary Madl-Young has joined Gaudenzia Inc. as Director of Continuous Quality Improvement and Staff Development. In this capacity she is responsible for agency-wide implementation of CQI, interfacing with licensing and certification bodies and developing clinical trainings for staff. Dr. Madl-Young comes to Gaudenzia with over 30 years experience in the human services field. In addition to holding a Ph.D in Psychology she is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, an Advanced Nurse in Adult Psychiatry and a Masters in Addictions Counseling. Before joining Gaudenzia, Dr. Madl-Young was the Director of Clinical Services for Planned Parenthood of Central Pennsylvania. She has also been a trainer for the Department of Health, Bureau of Probation and Parole and the Department of Aging. Dr. Madl-Young has presented trainings in Co-Occurring Disorders, Women in Treatment, Special Populations, Cultural Diversity, Family Dynamics in Addictions and the System's Response to AIDS in over 36 states. Dr. Rosemary Madl-Young has taught in the Master in Human Services Program at Lincoln University since 1978. She has also maintained a private practice for the past 25 years. "Rosemary brings a broad range of experience to Gaudenzia and a wealth of applicable knowledge," said Michael Harle, President of Gaudenzia. "We are most fortunate to have her become a part of our family." Established in 1968, Gaudenzia is the largest non-profit drug and alcohol treatment provider in the state of Pennsylvania.
