Aronson Joins Gaudenzia as Director of Development April 12, 2004 Gadi Aronson, a Montreal native, has joined Gaudenzia, Inc. as Director of Development. “We are very fortunate to have Gadi become a member of our team,” said Michael Harle, president of Gaudenzia. “Gadi brings with him a wealth of talent and expertise that we as an organization openly welcome and appreciate.” Established in 1968, Gaudenzia is Pennsylvania’s largest non-profit provider of drug and alcohol treatment services. Prior to his appointment, Aronson worked as an independent fundraising consultant, preparing feasibility studies and managing capital campaigns to various area non-profit organizations. Before that, he was Associate Director of Development at the National Museum of American Jewish History, located on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, where he participated in the Museum’s $100 million capital campaign. He also served as Director of Development at Akiba Hebrew Academy in Merion. Before moving to the Philadelphia area in 1997, Aronson was Campaign Director at Jewish Federation of St. Louis, as well as at Jewish Federation of Rhode Island. “Gaudenzia is a wonderful, dynamic organization – there’s so much potential and so much work to do,” Aronson said. “I’m excited about the prospects for getting new people involved in our work, and in developing new programs to educate donors about the scope of Gaudenzia’s work in the community.” As a paratrooper who saw duty in the 1982 war in Lebanon, Aronson witnessed the transformation that occurs in people when they are forced into very stressful situations. “Many people who are left to fend for themselves either can’t cope with the pressures they are facing, or don’t know where to go to find the help they need,” he noted. “Here at home, all levels of government are abandoning much-needed social service programs intended to serve the people who need them most,” he added. “That makes Gaudenzia’s role in the community even more important.”
