There is no better day to be a client at Harrisburg Outpatient than on the famous Hot Dog Day! National Recovery Month is a big deal at HOP. All of the HOP staff chip in and donate everything that is needed for Hot Dog Day. HOP clients are always greeted with a friendly smile and “How are you doing today” when they enter the door. Today, however, they are also greeted with the smell of sauerkraut and hot dogs cooking on the legionary Hot Dog roller (provided by the proud owner Matt Null) today. Complete with snacks, fruit, and of course, dessert, HOP clients are offered a plate full of food and a large helping of support and appreciation from the HOP staff.
As staff at HOP celebrate National Recovery Month with their clients, we also acknowledge the dedicated staff at HOP for going above and beyond in all they do to make their clients feel welcomed, unique, and part of the Gaudenzia family. We wish to especially thank Penny Berry, the chief Hot Dog Day organizer, Director Brian Hofsass, and his staff for all the kind donations.
To some, it might be just a processed pork product on a bun, but, to others, it shows that Gaudenzia treats clients and individuals like family.
