Length of Treatment: 3 to 6 Months

Criteria for Admission:
- Client must be a woman who as successfully completed a 3c level of care treatment program.
- Client must have a recent history of chemical dependency or alcohol dependency.
- Client may not have a diagnosis of Mental Retardation.
- Client must be interviewed by the clinical supervisor or designated counselor who will assess client’s motivation and ability to engage in goal directed and structured therapeutic/life skill activities.
- Client must be free of illicit drugs and/or alcohol prior to admission.
- Client must be medically stable and physically able to participate in the program.

Program Description:
Gaudenzia Washington House is a residential level 2b halfway house for women who have successfully completed a 3c level of care treatment program. The program is designed specifically to meet the needs of women who have received help for alcohol and other drug (AOD) problems and are now continuing on their path of recovery. Clients with co-occurring disorders will be individually assessed for admission.
Services:
While the halfway house setting provides some treatment activities including morning meetings, women’s therapy group and peer groups, emphasis is placed on finding a job, or attending a job training or educational program. The program provides a wide array of professional services to its clients within the framework of a therapeutic community setting. A multi-disciplinary team approach is used to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan for each woman.
