services and offers a full continuum of care that includes non-hospital
detoxification, outpatient, intensive outpatient, short and long term
residential rehabilitation for men or women, and pregnant or parenting
women with children and treatment for the dually diagnosed (having
both a chemical dependency and a mental health diagnosis). Additionally,

at Park Heights provides outpatient services and includes admission
intakes, evaluations, individual and group counseling, family issues
groups, didactic groups and more. The program provides structured,
step-down outpatient treatment for clients and their families.
INTENSIVE
OUTPATIENT SERVICES
The intensive outpatient program is a level of care between traditional
outpatient and residential care. Intensive services can be utilized
when traditional outpatient counseling (one session and one group
per week) is not adequate to treat the chemical dependency issues
or when individuals are returning from residential care and are in
need of intensive counseling while re-entering the community.
RESIDENTIAL
SERVICES
• Intensive Care Facility (ICF) – The short term unit
is a medically monitored, variable-length of stay program offering
drug and alcohol rehabilitation services on a short-term basis. Additional
services include non-hospital detoxification with buprenorphine protocols.
• Long Term Programs – Residential treatment are offered
for both men and women. This level of care is utilized when the chemical
dependency problem requires a structured and monitored setting. Gender
specific groups are conducted to ensure individuals have a safe environment
to address complicated and sensitive issues. All adults are encouraged
to pursue and complete courses for the General Equivalency Diploma
if they have not completed high school.
• Women with Children – This program is designed as a
long term residential treatment program for pregnant and/or parenting
mothers. Women are able to bring up to two children (under the age
of 10) into treatment with them. Gaudenzia recognizes that women need
a program designed to address complex gender-specific needs. Children
participate in drug and alcohol prevention and education programs
while at the facility. Additionally, school-aged children attend the
local schools.
FAMILY
PROGRAMS
Gaudenzia recognizes how addiction impacts family systems and other
significant relationships. All programs offer drug and alcohol education,
intervention and support services to assist in creating a healthy
and productive recovery environment. Family participation in treatment
greatly enhances the treatment experience and the quality of recovery.

family program is designed to help families understand the disease
of addition. Topics include co-dependency, relapse prevention, orientation
to 12 step programs such as Al-Anon. These groups are essential for
continued maintenance of sobriety and the establishment of positive
relationships in the recovering community.
