Program Description:
Harrisburg Outpatient addresses the needs of substance abusing adolescents and adults with specialized services and programming available. The outpatient office is accessible by public transportation. Evaluations are conducted by a counselor to determine the appropriate level of care that will best meet the client’s needs. A strong emphasis is placed on responsibility, stability, improved life skills, and the development of a comprehensive support system through AA, NA or Double Trouble groups.
Centro De Vida is a bilingual drug-free outpatient treatment program for Spanish speaking individuals who are experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol. Centro De Vida has implemented an innovative and effective Hispanic drug and alcohol prevention program working with community groups, parents and schools.
The Alcohol Awareness Program for Youth (AAPY) is an educational group for young people charged with their first alcohol/drug related offense. Generally the individuals referred to this program come from the district justice level of the criminal justice system. The program consists of four group sessions. The fee is $75. One session requires family attendance.
